I am sure everyone says this, but I LOVE my family. Don’t get me wrong, we have our good days and not so good days. I live with a 13 year old, some days are a little rough. I hear that they get better but I sometimes wish for the terrible twos again instead.
The reason for this post? I wanted to share my family and some photos, to give a back story and put names to faces. So here goes:
This is Tim and he is my husband. Fun fact: Tim is 6’7 (6’8″ with shoes on). I always want him to go grocery shopping with me, but he hates it. My 4’11” frame can barely reach the yogurt or anything on the top shelf. Don’t worry, I usually climb the shelves when no one is looking. He is the most caring person I know. For his profession, he works in mental health at a non-profit organization. He takes great pride in his work and loves helping others (and the community). He is also an avid disc golfer.
That thirteen year old I was talking about before, well here is he (above left). This is Nick (or Nicky B as I like to call him). He’s a middle schooler with a love of hair products and sports. He loves history, swimming, and snowboarding.
My husband has two children from his first marriage. One son, Jonah (above right), lives with us while the other son, Milo, lives with his mom. Jonah is 20 and Milo is 18. We see Jonah every day, however, he doesn’t do a lot of family activities with us because he is busy living his life and working. I think at age 20 and 18 I thought my parents were lame. We get it. No feelings hurt.
Oh and that other handsome fella is Porter. He is a Great Dane/ Anatolian Shepherd mix. He loves walks, chewing on our firewood, and laying in the sun. Fun fact: he really wore that bowtie for the photos. He pretty much goes everywhere (that’s allowed) with us.
Now you can put a face to the names. I might not share many other photos of my family. Time will tell as I am still debating about this.
Until next time,
