Happy Birthday! It was my birthday a few weeks ago, and per usual, I was thinking of ways to make this year MY year. I enjoy watching TED talk, so I thought, why not share some of my favorites for a better you? Here are a few you should watch on your birthday (or any day really) when you want to improve the current you! Or for knowledge (I love learning, too).
Laura Vaderkam helps people with time management. In this TED Talks, she puts time in a new light, plus she’s funny. If you struggle with managing time (I do!), this will get you thinking about how you are really spending your time.
Cesar Kuriyama takes a one second video each day to remember his life. By doing so, he is also making sure he lives his life to the fullest. This is a shorter TED talk (around 8 minutes) but it plays what his video currently looks like. I like this idea. Instead of constantly having your face in your phone, you’ll probably try to create awesome 1 second memories.
Andy Puddicombe suggests we take 10 minutes a day doing absolutely nothing. Yes, that’s right, nothing at all. No eating, drinking, watching tv. Just relax and let your thoughts flow. He also had a great use of props!
What does it take to live to be 100 years old? This TED Talk by Dan Buettner explores different areas around the world where populations live over 100. He shares their lifestyles and tips.
Neil Pasricha shares three A’s of Awesome. This TED Talk has humor mixed with a little sadness. This is a deep one that really makes you think of how you live each day.
I know that I need to smile more. Ron Gutman discusses all the benefits of why smiling is good for you (and everyone around you).
There are many more TED Talks out there. Here are 6 that I found interesting and useful. Do you have any favorites? Comment below!
