I shall call today: TED Talks Thursday!
For our New Year’s resolution this year, my husband and I decided to watch a new TED Talks each day. We would take turns deciding the video. Like all resolutions, it lasted a little over a month. However, during that time we learned so many fascinating things and our communication with each other went to a new level. Recently, we decided to continue doing that again. If you think you do not have time, some TED Talks are just a few minutes. Here are a few TED talks that I recommend.
This is one of the funnier TED Talks I have watched. Tim Urban shares stories of his life as a procrastinator. I related to this on so many levels and shared it with family and friends.
Carl Safina uses a little humor with lots of facts to get your brain thinking about animals. Also, if you’re an animal lover, this should be very interesting.
Do you ever feel like giving back to society? Then listen to this TED Talks right now! Hannah Brencher fell into depression after college and decided to write love letters to strangers. The World Needs More Love Letters was created from this.
In a society constantly glued to screens, we sometimes need help having better conversations. Celeste Headlee shares 10 ways to have a better conversation (spoiler: one is listening).
This is a short one. It’s interesting and fun. No big thinking required.
In conclusion, there are tons of different TED Talks for just about everyone. Keep an eye on my blog for more TED Talks related posts.
